Choosing the Right Wetsuit for You
Wetsuits are typically gender-specific, and most are made from neoprene. However, the type of wetsuit you choose is directly related to the kind of diving you plan to partake in.
Skinsuits are ideal for warm water temperatures (75℉/24℃ and higher) to keep you protected from the sun or abrasions from rubbing against rocks, corals, or wrecks. Shorty suits are also excellent for warm temperatures, as they help keep your core warm. One drawback, however, is they do not protect your arms and legs from sun or abrasion. Full suits that are also great for warm temperatures include 1mm to 3mm suits. Water with moderate temperatures (between 60 and 75℉/ 16 and 24℃) will require a thicker wetsuit — around 5mm — while cold temperature water (60℉/16℃ and below) will need an even thicker wetsuit of about 7mm. Vests and hooded vests are also perfect for adding more warmth for moderate to low-temperature diving.
If you get cold easily, consider a thicker suit up front! Just because 3mm suits work for some people does not mean it will be sufficient for you. Explore our different wetsuit products to find the one that best “suits” you!
Flexible Wetsuits for All Divers
Looking for a wetsuit that fits like a glove and moves with you? We've got you covered. Our neoprene wetsuits are flexible, comfortable, and versatile. Designed for divers of all levels, these suits offer the perfect balance between warmth and mobility. Whether you're a weekend warrior or a seasoned pro, you'll appreciate the freedom of movement these wetsuits provide.
The secret lies in the materials we use and the varying material thickness levels we offer. Crafted from high-quality neoprene, often sourced from recycled materials, our wetsuits are eco-friendly and durable. The inner lining is soft against the skin, reducing chafing and enhancing comfort.
Choosing the right diving equipment can make a big difference in your underwater experience. Our wetsuits' flexibility ensures you can swim, bend, and stretch without restriction. Dive into any adventure with confidence, knowing your wetsuit will perform as expected.

What Kind of Wetsuit Works Best for Scuba Diving
Choosing the best wetsuit depends on several factors, including water temperature and personal preference. For warm waters, a shorty wetsuit might be ideal. It covers the torso and upper thighs, providing protection and buoyancy without overheating.
In cooler waters, a full-length wetsuit made from thicker neoprene is recommended. These suits often feature an inner lining for added warmth and comfort. Look for options like the Aquaflex neoprene, which offers superior flexibility and insulation.
Consider the thickness of the wetsuit, too. Thicker neoprene provides more warmth but can be less flexible. However, advanced materials like Aquaflex neoprene balance warmth and flexibility, ensuring you remain agile underwater.
Do You Wear Anything Under a Scuba Diving Wetsuit?
What to wear under your wetsuit is often a matter of personal comfort. Some divers prefer wearing a swimsuit or board shorts. These provide a barrier between your skin and the wetsuit, reducing chafing and adding modesty when changing.
For colder dives, thermal layers like rash guards or neoprene vests can add extra warmth. These garments are thin, flexible, and designed to be worn under wetsuits. They wick moisture away from the skin and provide an additional layer of insulation.
Another option is a dive skin, a lightweight, full-body suit made from spandex or Lycra. Dive skins protect against jellyfish stings and sunburn when worn alone. Under a wetsuit, they add modesty and make the wetsuit easier to put on and take off.
Key Differences Between Diving in a Wetsuit and Diving in a Drysuit
Diving in a wetsuit and diving in a drysuit offer distinct experiences, each with its advantages. Wetsuits are made from neoprene and rely on a thin layer of water trapped between the suit and your skin for insulation. This water is warmed by your body heat, creating a barrier against the cold.
Wetsuits are typically used in warmer waters and offer greater flexibility. They are easier to put on and take off. Drysuits, on the other hand, keep you completely dry. They are made from waterproof materials like rubber or neoprene and are sealed at the neck, wrists, and ankles. Air is used for insulation, and you can wear multiple layers of clothing underneath for added warmth.
While drysuits are ideal for cold water diving, they are bulkier and require training to use effectively. They provide superior thermal protection and buoyancy control but limit mobility compared to wetsuits. Wetsuits are great versatile options that suit many divers. But both options play an important role in every diver's collection. Add a wetsuit to yours today.
